google's server technology??

    hi does anyone know what kind of server technology google.com uses??
    is it php or what??
    i havnt seen any extension on any of their web pages, so i am kind of confused. so if anyone knows, please share...

    Definately not PHP, probably something more flexible/scalable such as Ruby on Rails.

    I doubt they use Ruby on Rails.. I've seen some videos of engineers working, and they are compiling programs, which leads me to believe it's some sort of C derivative. RoR and PHP have wayyy too much overhead for their purposes.

    I've heard that new employees for Google NEED to know Python in order to work for them. So, I'm guessing most of it uses Python as far as I know.
