aparently so.... http://www.thelazymarketer.com/GoogleLeak/ and the PDF is the first result when you click the link at the bottom of the page. Maybe someone will find this usefull? Matthew
An interesting read. All the screen-captures in there are from google search as well. Here is one of the more interesting parts IMO. This section describes the following types of Spam and provides tips and tools on how to identify them. PPC Pages JavaScript Redirects Parked Domains Keyword Stuffing Thin Affiliates 100% Frame Hidden Text and Hidden Links Sneaky Redirects they elaborate a lot more in the document. Even if it's not official google docs, it's a good read.
Oi. Either Google had a really bad day at the office and even the "well-kept" secret got exposed or someone went through a whole lot just to make those documents up. I wonder if Google will retract or address this issue one of these days.
Interesting read. Have not fully read it but based on the depth and detail of the document it is difficult, if not unfathomable to believe that someone would have gone to this much trouble to create such a sophisticated fake as whoever created it, if not an actual Google employee, certainly has an in-depth understanding of SEO principles and dynamics. Considering the hourly billing rate of such an individual and the time needed to create such a lengthy document it seems implaubible that they would spend so much time without at least selling it or being compensated in any material way so it seems feasible, if not reasonable to conclude that it is indeed genuine.
Though I've scanned it, the documentation is very useful. the "Quality Rate Part" was really good, having a quick guidelines about what to put on your site for having a quality rate. Thanks
After reading the document more thoroughly, I would have to say that it is almost certainly genuine however since I am a white-hat SEO and dont employ any of these spamming techniches it's not particularly helpful since I dont do any of the things they are looking out for. The same goes for anyone out there reading this. If you are not doing anything shady then this info will not help you as it does'nt have anything to do with SERP rankings etc. however it is still an interesting read to get a take on Google's perspective and the quality ranking of sites part is interesting and may be instructive to people on how to build more relevant sites.
