google's "secret" supplemental results

i was reading jim boykin's blog post about finding out how you know that your site is in google's new supplemental index. i tried his method on our homepage and noticed something interesting.

near the top of the page, we have an H1 tag that includes our website's main description and our main keyphrase. in jim's blog's he says that you can see if a page in the supplemental's by grabbing a unique sentence that would only be found on your page, copying it, then doing a google "exact match" search. if that page comes up, then you know that you're not in "google hell". well, i tried it with the sentence in our H1 tag, and no results came up. then i tried it with another sentence within the content of the page, and that returned our page as the only result.

so my question is; how could that be? it's almost like google has indexed only a portion of our site. because if the entire site has been indexed, then any and all of those unique searches would return our page...hmmm

from what I have read, you have to sign up for a Google program of some kind to fall in to the local Trap!!

You are best to stay away from any type of search or local search program with any of the engines as they are in a fight for the top right now!! They are trying to suck you up into their world.

    Just my view and/or opinion!!
