Googles search term ordering?

I was just looking on google for a search term I created for an article, was a well 'none used' keywords that people we're actually searching for, but mostly the main keywords for my article we're questions that people asked on a forum. So I created an article for a certain term and it hit first page in a snap, atleast 2 minutes after I posted. So I tried flipping the terms order, it wasn't on the first page anymore, why does google do that to me?

Hmmm. It sounds to me like you hit a phrase that was 'hot' in Google Trends. If so, the ordering is pretty important. Or you may have dropped back off for an unrelated reason.

Any chance we can see the article and the term?

Word order is pretty important, as well as word proximity. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Maybe more sites had the terms in the second order and were better matches. Can you include both order in close proximity, ideally as adjacent words?

Word order does matter, but you should also beware that Google's indexes don't undate just like that! You can get lucky, or you can get sandboxed for months even with relatively good links and content. Things do seem to be a bit faster than they used to be, I've had sites get to the first page within a few weeks rather than what used to be a few months.

My point of view may be quite exotic, but that comes from my experience alone...

When you put online an important link or a brand new post on a trustworthy site it can hit first page google but only for some time. I had one of my keywords "Spanish escorts" on the first page of Google ranked 1 (checked in 3 browsers) for several hours after I added a trustworthy link to the site. It is regularily 9th.

So when you hit top 10 Google for no reason - do not expect to stay there for long...

True, I also noted spaces in the keyword can vary from search results.

    e.g.:
    Type 1
Tracking Google Bot and Google Bot Tracking

    is different from

    Type 2
    Tracking Googlebot and Googlebot Tracking

I've still seemed to be ranked on the first page for both types, but type 2 I'm not on the first page for each result, the first search order is in the top10 but the second term is first on the second page in the top10(2nd page)
