    Hi All.

Google as we all know became the internet's largest advertiser after the DoubleClick deal.

    How does Microsoft respond

Well it went out and bought aQuantive, an online ad company just like DoubleClick.

For $6 Billion, :D, twice what Google paid for double click. Forbes said they paid 85 percent more than aQuantive is worth.

Is this a prelude to a possible Yahoo->MSN deal? Microsoft is definitely trying to establish themselves in the industry.

But, they don't have a snowball's chance in hell of catching Google if they don't increase the quality of the online offerings (anyone used Live yet? what a dog!)

Microsoft really overpaid for aQuantive, I guess they're more interested in stopping google before they take over their Office apps suite than actually making money from the deal
