Google's Q2 (July, 2008) Page Rank Discussion Thread

Are you sure the PR update is complete? My homepage stayed at PR0 (despite over 1000 backlinks) and yet there's now an internal page with a PR4? This makes no sense to me.

 

I think this update is far from over. I have a blog that I just created last week go from PR N/A to 0 and with only 50 backlinks. Brand new URL. My main site which in the last 3 months I buob 2500 back links hasnt budged a bit. Same with sub pages. very weird.

 

Definately more than a typical toolbar export, G clearly has re-evaluated link valueing.

 

Nothing yet, except my BL's went up.(still doesn't see all the directory listings)

 

Got some sites from grayed PR bar back to their previous. Sweeet

 

Me: one site is a PR4 from a PR3, but really the even better news is that many category pages are PR3, and many third tier, internal pages are a PR3.

My other site went from PR3 to PR2 because I was spreadin' that sweet PR juice among too many new pages.

 

i was happy with the last update, i went from PR3 to 4, now i have gone back to 3 This update seems to have happened alot faster than the last for me.

 

How do you check your PR ratings?

i dont think the PR update is ever over, by the time people realize google is done they are past the halfway point to the next update.

 

I still trying to get my blogs to get page rank, any useful tips to get page rank 5 and above that anyone willing to share with me?
