Im trying to gain a general consensus on how long penalized sites might remain penalized. Take into consideration that this isnt a "blacklisting" that that we've been given but some sort of 30-40 steps back penalty on all of our SERPs. The reason I created this poll was because I seem to get different opinions from all different people.

Myself and others who aren't as knowledgeable to how Google operates would like to know from several educated guesses about how long we can expect this penalty to last.

Also this poll is under the condition that coop links have been removed of course.

*..this poll is under the condition that coop links have been removed of course.*

You may have to do a re-inclusion request, which some claim requires a complete clean-out of anything that may be contravening the guidelines, not just the COOP...

What did you do wrong? Was the penalty removed automatically or did you have to email google? :)

You should add 9 months option, that seems to be the norm for my sites :p
