    I think that's proof enough coming from Matt Cutts that Google is indeed updating pageranks.

    Update has started guys. It has started in the morning. Many sites started showing N/A on toolbar and PR checkers, update is in progress. Good luck everybody.

    Few DCs gives me PR2 for my recently launched website

    I'm really surprised how that word passed the swear filter of vbulletin :rolleyes:

    eeww how exciting.. I wish Google would be more transparent about the whole PR updates etc.. let s see how the sites go.. does anyone know how long the update goes for?

    UPDATE: yes I can confirm the PR update has taken place as my nite now has been give a PR 2.. than Sergey

    Well it would go on for a couple of days as Matt has mentioned. They're also going to expire old penalized sites aside from updating pageranks.

    Google toolbar is behaving oddly. On every refresh some of my sites are going up/down +/- 1 PR in ranking.

    Dude!! I am talking about one month old sites which didn't have any PR update till now.

    I am using Webmaster Tools and Analytics and everything in that is perfect.

    Open this folder:
    Open hosts file in notapad and find this line at the bottom area:
    After that line, add this:
    Restart your browser and now check ;)

    None of my sites have updated pagerank... and given that one was predicted PR5 I'd at least expect a PR1.

    I'm not really relying that much on online PR checkers and stuffs. I only rely on what PR the Google Toolbar gives me because I know that it would be an official one that came straight from google and not from some script-made-up online checker.

    Well, that's IMO of course. :D
