    i normally use iwebtool.com but it's unable to retrieve info from a lot of datacenters. Probably due to the fact that there's a lot of ppl checking PR right now.

    I have some sites which are launched a month ago. When I visit them.. I see that the PAGERANK button in the Google Toolbar turns out gray.

    So.. Does this mean that the PageRank has not been allotted for this site?

    If thats correct, then.. How can I see that the PageRank update has finished on that site?

    How will I come to know that PR update is over for that site?

    I just noticed one of my main sites went from a 2 to a 3. I'm not going to complain. Was a 2 last night.

    And a framed page I have just got a PR 3. Strange.

    If its greyed out on your main www.url.com then thats not a good sign.. especially if your domain name is over 3 mths old.. usually the grey on the PR toolbar for old-ish type sites means Google has flagged your site for some reason or placed it in the supplemental index..

    If your site is new though then its pretty standard for it to be grey until Google updates the SERPS.

    The PR update is supposed to be around every 3 mths but I dont think there has been one for a little while as I have a domain that is 2 1/2 mths old and its still greyed out.. the way you will know if its been updated is it will turn white.

    GRAY PR MEANS - PROBLEM
