Google's Page Rank Discussion Thread

This is like how long is a peice of string? Usually i would say atleast 3 months because toolbar page rank is known to update approximately every three months.

However it depends on various factors mainly being the amount of backlinks and link juice these backlinks give your website.

Aim for high ranked backlinks this will be much stronger than a low or unranked page.

 

I heard some people saying that Using Google Toolbar will help increase sites PR. It's not affected am I right?

 

I have a problem with my pagerank. Whatever will I do, it is not showing in my going stat widget.

I am still in zero despite hundreds of people are coming to my CHARMINGFACES blogspot site.

What could be the problem? anybody can please help. Thanks for this wonderful forum!

 

When is the last/next time PR did/will update?

 

So page rank wasn't really important to me. Then when I got an update and was a PR2 it was kind of cool. As it helps with traffic (which I haven't personally seen... infact, I grew most of traffic on my own) or so I'm told... I became a little more interested in boosting the PR. Just to see if helps. If it does, I will then begin to launch my advertising programs on my blog http://www.biz-tone.blogspot.com. A useful tip in boosting page rank is from a site I found by Google searching "How to beat Google". Do you guys think this method would work?

I got a PR update about a month and a half ago.

 

I see some PR change on couple of my sites, is it only me or is someone else too experiencing it

My PR seems to have tanked, PR 2 from a PR 4

 

Has the PR update started?

 

I think Google just dose this when they feel like it? so most likely they do it It bit by bit it would be a huge job for the severs to look up all the back links and stuff

How do I check my PR? I cannot have the toolbar installed because its in violation of my company's regulations.

no pr0 is the lowest and pr10 is the highest .... the higher the better.

 

Hmmm, thx. And in some of the pages, I've also come across that SERP is a better guage. What is that too? =)

And yes I can predict the future, I have been right the last 3 times haha - all joking aside I can predict within a week or 2 weeks of an update, all I can say is that it wont happen in the next week or 2
