'Quality' links is the factor. Quality, related links with PageRank will pass pagerank to your site. Simple as. 50,000 backlinks and PR0 - that'll be for either a) paid links b) spamming c) 50,000 crap quality links.

PR N/A. And it'll continue like that unless you do something with it - quick.

My personal site has a blog section and I have few articles related to web designing. And I found that My blog posts have a page rank of 3 and my home page's page rank is 0. How could this happen??

That does not mean the page has PR0. The only explanation to this missing PR is that Google can't assign PR to every single page - even the frontpage sometimes.

I had brought down my sites in 2006 and brought them up in end of 2007 so all the ones that were PR 4 are now PR 0. But when it went to PR through reciprocal link exchanges. Also, if the keywords are less competitive, then PR goes higher faster.

I used have a website just to give details of my Ebay consignment business. This website had only one link from one of my websites that was PR 3. The Ebay consignment site gained PR 4 in 2 months because there is less competition to this type site compared to other websites.

Looks like I've lost PR: down from 3 to 0 on www.celtnet.org.uk despite considerable efforts at building the site and building back-links. A quick look at the results from various Google datacentres reveals most are at PR 0 but a few are at PR 7. Is the PR roll-out still going? My site's still ranking well for many of the key search terms like 'celtic gods' and 'clickbank ads' but a lot of the results from internal pages have vanished. Very worrying.

looks like the sites who went to PR0 are getting google penalty for paid links. I have seen this being discussed at various blogs.

Google assign page rank on the basis of domain age and the links incoming to the websites page.

So it take a moment to get trusted by the search engines to display the results with the search engines when the domain gets older and links also fluctuates the PR.

Anyone else noticing Google DC's that iWebtool uses returning PR7's?

    Example:

    64.233.169.* & 72.14.215.*
    http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_checker?domain=www.gnr-blog.com

I only stumbled on this after seeing a predicted PR7 thread in the link sales forum. So for fun I ran a new blog and sure enough I got PR7 from some dc's. Tried a few other sites and see PR7's as well.

Can anyone confirm they are getting PR7's?
