some of my site http://www.unisoft-technologies.com/ pages are 1,2,3 PR but home page is 0,

 

Hmm, My site went 5->4... Well, I don't really care any more, because my google traffic sucks even if my site has PR 5 or 4

 

i can confirm that the pr update has happened. 9 of my sites got a pagerank. about 25 got pagerank 3

Mine still has PR 0

 

The PR of my site remained the same but the results of the PR from individual datacenters shows most of them are down. Whether the PR update is not yet over?

I use this tool everyday but I've not seen any changes again.

Can you only use it on an PHP Directory ?

 

The other day my site www.see-my-ip.com went PR 2-->0, and the secondary pages went PR 1-->2 or 0-->2, I dont understand it.

 

Yes, only for PHPLD script. Because this softwere connect mysql server and update pagerank field in database.

 

My site varied from PR6 to PR2...Now it seems to have equaled out (At 2 ).

I don't think PR effects results too much as some high results can be like PR1-4.

 

Several new sites 0->2 since yesterday...really strange.

 

I'm scratching my head? anyone else feel the same?

Most of my sites have changed a little... most are now 1's 2's or 3's & one bought domain is still on a 5

But i have been looking at new sites out there the following is an example

( A new proxy website that is 2 months old - only 6 crappy non PR backlinks - but has a pagerank of 5!) - this site is a 1 page proxy - so no clever coding no content or anything special but has been awarded a pr of 5! )

Anyone else have any ideas what the fu*k is going on

Yeah I agree - its seems strange - All PR updates now just seem to be a game and a way of Google trying to disrupt link buying and selling. PR is almost a non-indicator of anything except for aged sites.

I have flagship sites that are number 1 in G for ultra competitive keywords that are PR4. Some of my new sites are PR6 now... I have to go through them all PR is so over, so over....

 

I think the only way to increase a site's PR is aggressive link building... what you guys think?

 

it works, but you have to find the right way, because often aggressive link building backfires and you end up with alot of links and penalized and PR0

 

Not sure about this... Google makes really hard the job of S.E.O. professionals as what is happening these days seems to have [almost] no logic...

 

So, what make PR increased???

Im absolutely in agreement with many of the posters in this forum. The most recent pagerank update seems to be almost zany in the random fashion in which it has given out pagerank.

Most of my sites (like 125 out of 130, so a decent size pool) have remained exactly the same, while a few new sites have just been given a first PR of a PR0, which I have received for sites with 10 backlinks, 700 backlinks, and 30,000 backlinks respectively.

Which raises the question, ARE BACKLINKS NOW WHAT PR IS BEING DEFINED BY PRIMARILY?
