got my site a pr plus i manage to maintain my blogs pr.

 

I'm so sad.........this update is not good for me.

 

i saw a web site which had a page rank of 7 initially on that update and now it,s page rank is 4 dropping from page rank 5 which it had when the update was not on.

 

i see some update for my internal pages, its jumped to pr1 from pr n/a

 

I dont think the PR update is over yet, I had one sites subpages all change PR and a few homepages drop but those sites with the upped subpages are pr0. I cant imagine that the homepage got a 0 pr and the subs got pr4s!

Still waiting to see what google is doing.

 

Hmm...my Google toolbar PR is not working at all at the moment. PR in smartpagerank and SEO for firefox are not working as well. Only digpagerank...I think PR update is not over yet...

 

I second that. It seems that we will have to be patient...

The fact is that there are businesses [web directories, for example] which' success/non-success, partly*, will be determined by the received PR.

*partly is justified by:

1. Today the web directories are receiving very hard high PR. If a web directory is receiving PR5/PR6 that means that its owner made something well...
2. They still have relevance in the eyes of the web directory submitters/buyers.

 

Perhaps the new PR update has started. My site DrugInfo got PR4 from PR0, and my second site TopGenericDrugs experienced PR changes in some internal pages.

 

I think it is over, my sites have no change but all new blogs I had created have jump from 0 to 2 & 3 respectively.

 

I hope not. I haven't seen any change for my two main business sites, despite the strong link building I have been doing over the last two months...

 

Ya, pr update is not finished yet. I also saw changes in the past 10 hours with my inner pages changing from pr0> pr1 and 2.

 

My two blog stay at PR3 this last update hoping that it will increase but stay the same PR.

 

I'm having a similar situation to what some of the other people are having. I have a website that will be 3 months old next week.

It has about 8 pages, 1 of the internal pages is currently ranking as 1, and all the others including the homepage are still at 0.

I know for a fact that there are no backlinks that point to that internal page (only the homepage).

I'll just be patient, especially since I probably won't see the benefit of my newly gained backlinks until the next PR update anyway. I was lucky enough to get 2 new PR 5 backlinks from a very reputable and relevant .edu website. I know there's probably no significance to the backlinks being on an .edu site, but I'm looking forward to seeing what effect it has (if any)...

 

My replicated site of my main website - although completely different, fresh content, more aimed at someone who wants to read about the product than buy the product - got all its internal pages PR2, but homepage is PR0. There isn't a single link to any internal pages, all to the homepage, all 1300+ of 'em. So either Google's not quite done, my domain was penalised (is that a possibility?) orrrrr...I don't know.

 

I also noticed the changes of my site PR...it's going up...

 

I was thinking the same thing spiderman, but then I wonder why they'd rank any of the pages if the site was being penalized.

One observation I do have is that the 1 page Google did actually rank is the one that most users stay on the longest. I wonder if Google's new algo's might be taking actual usage data when calculating the PR for new websites.

I don't know enough about it SEO or the ranking technology, so I might be just talking out of my ***.
