Both my websites have increased in PR
1 from PR 3 to 4
and the other PR 2 to PR 3

 

The algorithm seems to be getting worse and worse. It used to be accurate last summer.

 

Can i ask how can you call it "accurate"?????

 

Penalties are being given like crazy now yet the search engine placement doesn't change that much. It used to be when you built links you got a boost in PR. Seems like you almost get penalized for doing it on established sites if your not careful.

 

My oppinion is that aligorithm changes can not be worse

If google close some holes be sure that they open other holes.

 

this update didnt seem like much penalties compared to the last few where the took out spamm sites

 

It was for me, the worst I ever seen it. Down across the board or staying even at best, on nearly 20 sites and even getting PR penalized on a couple different sites at 2 different times the last couple months at times there was no "updates" going on.

 

Your basing that off your own badluck this time. Google's algorithm becomes more sufficient and complicated as sites grow. It is just becoming harder to maintain PR. At first it was probably easy to increase PR.

 

let's all stop bickering about it and get on with life. If we had bad luck this quarter, then let's wait for the next one. Maybe we'll be luckier.

 

Exactly.. this should only be motivation for everyone.

 

if only it was as simple as that

when we see google giving pr3 and pr2 for 2 month old sites and we see good original content quality sites that are a year or two old and they end up with pr0,

it makes me wonder if we all should just give up on our older good quality content sites and start brand new sites that are not that great and probably have better luck with google

 

does anyone know if page rank for all domains are updated at the same time, i have a .com and a .co.uk (different sites) .com has updated, the .co.uk hasn't.

Could this be down to the update still happening or is it just that that site's PR hasn't changed?

 

My guess is that the PR has not changed on your site. As far as I have seen 99% of sites have had PR updates either negative.. positive or neutral

 

Cheers - its strange as it has more backlinks and is older. I'm just wondering if the pay per post posts are hurting it.

 

You have to be careful when selling/buying links... tons of sites were slapped for this.

And my blog from unranked to PR 1. Sounds good.

 

i also got pr5 from two of my sites, pr4 from three of my site, and pr3 from my one site.... from n/a or zero... not bad isn't it? hahahaha

 

i guess with everyone getting such high pr's, Pagerank is definately losing its value

 

All of my site's PR increased. Very happy with Q2 PR Updates.
