See, this is what I'm always saying... Everytime someone criticizes Google, the pitchforks come out. The Google worshippers will defend Google, no matter how relevant and true the criticism may be.

Of COURSE it's totally retarded to have two identical sites in the #1 and #2 spot. That doesn't help anybody except the crafty SOB who owns both sites.

Criticizing Google on DP is like criticizing the Pope in Rome.

Having said that, in this case it's probably just a technical glitch, and I'm sure one or both of those sites will disappear sooner or later. But although in this case it's just incompetence, make no mistake, Google as a corporation are as cunning and devious as any agro conglomerate - many people find that hard to believe.

    This post sounds familiar :)

GameStop and EB are one in the same company.
This type of SERP return is common with them in this niche. They have the money and spend a lot of it with Google. I agree that one of their sites should be #1 but presenting both is a double standard.
    But what can you do?
A wise person mentioned to me that Google is for the Users, not the customers, so whatever makes the User happy is fine with the big G, be it white hat or black.

That comment made sense and has me considering the ruthlessness of this business and ways to approach it without caring anymore.
