Anybody know about google's new algorithm for searching and indexing i.e. caffeine. I think all involved in seo work should follow new approach for keyword ranking etc.etc. Is it right?
If you guys are unaware of the caffeine update, you really should do some reading. My results are mixed after the update. Mostly down a few spots. I have noticed that more relevant sites are generally up for the same resulats. Most press release, article and even wiki type results have drastically dropped. SEO adjustments will have to be made, as soon as people figure it out. Personally I would say backlinks are now less relevant, just based on my own observations.
You guys who dont know about this see this http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009/08/help-test-some-next-generation.html Its googles offcial blog
Here is some info Guys : Will Google’s Caffeine disrupt search rankings? Google is renewing the way it indexes, is your site prepared?
there's been several threads about it even on this forum the last 5 days. you people are so lazy. i think 90% of DP posts are one liners trying to get post counts up, they dont want to read 2 day old threads, they want to make inane 7 word posts in duplicate threads instead.
ditto what SEOibiza just said. Then there are folks (like me) who will post to say: My SERP improves with Caffeine, on ALL of my KW. I'm really excited about this updating of Google technology, and as far as I'm concerned they cannot implement the changes soon enough!!!
Well Googles Official Blog has http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009/08/help-test-some-next-generation.html and thats the most credible source Edit See http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/caffeine-update/
Looks like mixed results for me. If you search with gl=uk to get the UK results, the SERPS is still packaged with non-UK sites.
