Thanks for informing us! It is really interesting what all these changes will bring up and does Google really is able to fight all mentioned sites because they are probably incredible much. I am just glad that I did not set up auto blog, I simply did not have for that time ...
I think this article at searchengineland will make the point way more clearer - http://searchengineland.com/google-search-quality-with-new-on-page-spam-detection-62031 . I am not speculating anything but these are my fears.
“the new classifier is better at detecting spam on individual web pages, e.g., repeated spammy words—the sort of phrases you tend to see in junky, automated, self-promoting blog comments.†Matt Cutts, usually tells the truth! It's really nothing to panic about!
Great find, thanks for sharing! I have always been against blackhat tactics as well as useless SEO articles, and it's nice to see that this stuff is being whacked. I see people are freaking out already: shoot-the-messenger syndrome He's not making anything up, the source is right in the post, shithead. Actually, it DOES: we recently launched a redesigned document-level classifier He's getting it from a spammy, spinner-generated autoblog known as the Official Google Blog.
Should people be worried? Well I'm not worried. The only people who are worried are people doing the sneaky things in the first place.
I read an article today that google has updated their algorithms because people were complaining about results.
Oh, that'll be brilliant. I hate being outranked by crap sites that have eleventy trillion forum spam backlinks while I have none. I also hate forum and website spam and having to constantly remove it, even though I have a lot of spam blocking software some still gets through. I don't feel at all bad that somewhere out there there is someone trying to make $2 for 1000 spam posts and I am stopping them making a pittance of a living.
At least I know Google is still not able to handle the spin article issue. There are sites that ranked highest in Google. They grow their backlinks but posting spin articles. Robot only can distinguish if the content is unique but can't know if the content is making sense or not.
Im not sure if this is for real or not. The comments in this thread is mixed up. However it will be unfair for sites that uses databases. Lyrics, recipes are not spam at all but relevant info.
Now Searchers may get quality results but i feel pity for those website owners with low quality content.
Why should you feel bad for them , instead you should feel bad for people with good content who are outranked by sites with lower quality content.
The web spam filter is live now. The effects will be felt in next 1 week. See the link below for details. http://searchengineland.com/google-launches-algorithm-to-fight-content-spam-62736
