Google's New social network ?

what will happen if google launch a new social networking site similar to facebook with more advanced features ? there is a rumor over internet that google will launch its new service soon!

According to me, Facebook rank will shift from no 2 to no 20 or may be reach to myspace levels..

 

Actually Facebook is larger then Google of course Google process more web searches but Facebook users are on the site more... clicking..ads...ect..
I've read about Google wanting to compete with Facebook but it's really not possible I mean look at Google buzz vs twitter lol

 

Let's just hope that new social network from Google doesn't end up like Google Buzz.
Anyway I'm looking forward to Google's social network but I'm doubting that it will beat Facebook.

 

I didn't even use Google Buzz because I find it rather useless. I have been with Facebook long enough to get tired of it. If Google is coming up with a new social network, I might give it a try and stick with it, if it is really good although I don't see the need for more social networking sites. Linked In is by far my favourite networking site.

 

i like myspace and facebook so if and when it comes out I probably won't even sign up

 

if Google also allow favourable condition for webmasters then it will definately beat facebook. Facebook is on top because of webmasters like us. Twitter is on top just because of us. For example: Google bought twitter , before the deal twitter ranked around 1000 worldwide because they allowed dofollow backlink at that time. But After the deal with google it ranked boosted to 10th rank even we can't even place dofollow backlinks. Its rank boosted just because of google + heavy advertisement by google. I BET If google launched their service then facebook loose more than 60% traffic.

People like new things , if service is good then facebook is nothing in front of google.

one prediction, if Google launch more advanced site than facebook , then it will reach to top 10 rank worldwide within 2 weeks.

 

Google Buzz was meant to face Twitter and not Facebook.
Orkut was meant to face Myspace but eventually lost. Still, it is quite popular in some countries.
Google Me, Google's latest project that would also showcase more online games (rumor says from Zynga) will be their Social Networking website to FACE Facebook.

 

I like facebook, it is very easy to use.

 

If Google Me can present something that is NOT available on any other social networking sites then perhaps it stands a chance to survive.

 

Well I think Google has been known to do stuffs that are quite surprising!
