Google's New SEO Tools

Hey anyone noticed the new tools google introduced in the sitemaps.


OMG this going to help you guys a lot in serps.!!

 

Do you mean just the "Webmaster Tools" as a whole with that "labs" option, or is there something specifically in the "Sitemaps" tab???

I don't see how the "Fetch as Googlebot" tool will help, it just shows me the source code of my pages, which I already know about. How can this improve my SERPS?

 

I've noticed it but wondered how it will help..

i guess if we do have coding knowledge then we get benefit from that new feature.

 

They surely have purpose to help webmasters, specially that Malware test feature.

 

I've seen it too but it only shows how google sees the html. Not sure how this would be helpful. Has anyone noticed the highest ranking page and pagerank boxes have gone from the crawl stats tab? Maybe they will be adding these in the new section with more detail.

 

webmasters tools are great as I had heard but I am unable to use it in more helpful way..

yes i saw it but i was thinking alot to know the ways in that it will be helpfull. Well its really good new tool to help SEOs and webmasters

 

From a coders perspective its no help at all. You can see the source code of a webpage easily anyway.

The fetch as Googlebot function seems quitenice - albeit a few years too late.

 

After a brief moment to think. What is this tool meant to do? Help blackhat's to know if their are inside the limit or not? Give google a warning signal that the webmaster is probably blackhat if he uses this tool?

 

I dont know how new this is... ive been using Webmaster tools for over a year

 

I don't see how viewing the source code can help anything. I certainly don't need google to do this.

 

Eh', it's the "lab" partion on the bottom of GWT that is new, not the tool itself

 

I think this additions are very good and thanks for telling us about it. i have not noticed it until I saw this thread

The option to view source is very good: as in some cases, where sites get hacked: one cannot find about it until the source code is viewed in a special tool. I think this new feature will help in this regard.

And the other option is also good. Sometimes, people wonder is a virus is attach to a file that is uploaded from our PC to our servers. This option will alert incase some virus/malware is found in a site.

 

GUESTID, So are you simply referring to the Fetch as Googlebot feature as a benefit to SEO? Please elaborate in this thread.
