The comment on 404s is quite true. My homepage is very old and has been through several different incarnations of itself, and surprisingly I get a lot of 404s for pages that haven't existed for over 5 years!!!

Putting a 404 page in with links to the most popular pages of my site decreased the bounce rate.

This tip is a good one.

 

I too downloaded the new version. It's like a free opportunity to know what's the new trend to check especially if your SEO jobs doesn't make any substantial improvements for your websites.

 

meta desc, still make wonder in keyword rank.

 

Basic stuff is covered, a good read for beginners

It's a good first read for just about anyone. I too noticed that they are now mentioning meta tags again after saying they were meaningless for years. Odd.

 

I think they said that to purously misguide many SEO's
