Google's new logo debuted with lots of changes like font, its appearance and also color. It's released on 1 September 2015.
I don't think the logo is that bad. Actually do prefer the look of it and the new icon 'G' is much better than the previous version. Verizon's new logo is also better though I haven't made up my mind on it still.
The logo as such is fine, but considering it is Google's Logo, they could have spent better money in getting it designed
To me it looks faded and out of focus in small format. Lackluster/apologetic at best. The brighter one was crisp and had spunk.
It's going to bug everybody for some time. I wouldn't say I am thrilled about their new font. But in all fairness the new font (and the big G) is more brand-able. I am surprised there was no beta testing like with everything they do.
I'm so glad you brought this up, someone had to! I wanted to get something off my chest about the new logo but they usually change it just as much as their doodles do anyway! They also changed the favicon as well the whole shebang.
The logo seems very decent and clean. No problem with the logo as long as their service remains excellent.
I don't think Google or we should care about their new logo really. Most "normal" searchers won't even notice the difference.
As you notice the new logo of Google is similar to Groupon logo and it got lots of attention as well as not surprisingly most of the people talk about it. Groupon posted a tweet that they are sending a bill for Google using their logo and amounting to $7 billion sounds good isn't?
