hi, just found out this - google is launching a new feature to compete with yahoo health and msn health - Google Health. Just visit google and enter your fav health problem and you should see some changes in the links just belows the search box. Check out my blog for some pics and other info. go, enter "cold" in google search box, see the top results and then come here and tell me what u think about it.
I know they are having a "media day" today, but wouldn't let out what they were going to release. Have they officially stated what the release is? The images you reference have been available for a while. They are stating the release today will be a full product, such as google maps or gmail was.
no still nothing on http://health.google.com. Like i said in my blog, officially they still haven't annouched anything yet, its still a "rumor", thought a very strong one. But if you have to see the official release then you have to wait for some time.
Suppose to be today. Well, they said there was some big release today. Most likely a program that will sit in beta for 3 years...
just updated my blog with the current status. no official release from google yet but google health is taking up its primary form.
Nothing to it? things that look innocent can be most dangerous. Look at google for example. In its early stages it was the simplest, most innocent looking thing on earth. No ads , no banners, not even big images or bright fonts and colors - it was instant hit for these same reasons. And before anyone realised it was all around. Time of loud launches is past. Now its all about beta releases. think about it.
The press release states that Health will be a part of the Co-op release they referenced at the Media event yesterday. The health portion is either not going to be pushed, or it is not ready to release. As it sits, the few extra links at the top of the page are not considered an application such as maps or gmail. I am waiting to see what is in store for the future, as it sits, not that interesting...
ignorance is bliss. maybe you should spend some more time exploring those "links" i am sure you would find something interesting.
1 thing is bad in health related SE's. they search the page with keywords and page of higher rank, but many times it has happened that the page appearing in the 1st. page of search has no relation or a small relation to the keywords searched. this will not be helpful in health topics
yes that can be a problem. A health related directory would be more effective in such case. This again highlights the importance of small niche directories.
