Isn't this old news? I'm pretty sure I've seen this before...

It's August 28th's news, indeed, but some people (newcommers) are still unaware.

Additionally, I suppose I was hoping for comment on the new App. I was really wondering if there were any thoughts about weather or not anyone thinks (or knows) that the AdSense Ads that will obviously be incorporated in these apps (IM, e-mail and calendaring) might be displayed with ones website's adsense code--since its IS coming from YOUR site.

I'm just curious that way. I apologize for not being forthcoming in this particular post.

    Best,

    Lilly

Yep, it's pretty neat! It'sgoing to be a little bit of a challenge for me setting up the email feature:

I'm novice at these things :) I understand though from another forum that I post on, that you'll have to create new MX entries for the Google domains. (Google provides you the data to create new MX entries).

If you are using cPanel (Linux), you can edit your DNS template and create these entries using WHM (Web Host Manager). In case if you don't have a cPanel reseller hosting account, you'll have to provide the MX details (provided by Google) to your Web Hosting Provider and they'll create these entries for you.

Thats a big brainfull of information for me to absorb! I hope I get it right.

There are too many privacy issues with G being in the business for one reason, to collect data.

While it may seem cool, it's another beta app and a dis-service to your readers to give G an outlet to their private information through a portal on your site. :/

I've been using it for for a few weeks now, and it's really great - i'd advise people to check it out. You have have the simple , with as a gmail account. Which is really cool, I like that. It's also got gSpreadSheets for your domain (which is interesting), pageCreator and Calender.

Btw - if anyone hasn't seen Google Analytics, check it out today! You won't be dissapointed! If you need an invite or something (i'm not sure if you do need one) PM me and I'll see what I can do.
