That is an extremely broad question. They are constantly changing their algorithm and the most recent changes focussed on delivering more 'up to date' results and resulted in a bit of SERP result - Google Caffeine.
I don't think there are many people apart google staff who know what the current google algorithm is. What you can see in the post on the seo forums what people asume and guess.
Google doesn't have any new algorithm. its the same old one with routine updates. they made about 400-500 minor updates in the past year with couple of big updates like caffeine update and mayday update (do a Google search on those terms and you will find details)
Remember that the Google algorithm is made of over 100 of so components , that change to some degree on an ongoing basis Google is making big noise about introducing a new set referred to as "Caffeine" You have to remember that Google was a tiny upstart with no marketing budget what so ever that knocked the mighty entity and monolith of the time - Yahoo - out of place all by simple word of mouth Google ( unlike many companies who once grown forget their origins and lessons of life) knows this well Hence it is always trying to keep ahead and be a better product than any competition or competition to come Its all about selling ads , being the search engine that users prefer Google is not going to tell you their secrets , just like the Cl . Saunders would never divulge his secret recipe for Kentucky Fried Chicken ( now KFC) Its all an educated guessing game and a lot of reverse engineering with testing Wait for that email and then share it with us please

I'm not really sure if Google has a new algorithm and if they will ever let anybody from the outside know that they did have a new algo. There is a new web indexing system Google has introduced called Google Caffeine. Here's their official link to the said system: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2010/06/our-new-search-index-caffeine.html Hope the link proves useful
Its basically updating information all the time, with more recent information having a higher priority
No one can tell you a clear answer . Google algorithm is known only for some engineers of it. But as it published, Google tries to change some factors in Google caffeine. for example loading speed of a website, having more backlinks from web2 social bookmarking sites and some others.
I heard about everybody talking about the Mayday problem...and that some websites are wiped out of their google ranking. At lease my sites are still sticking up there. But the simple rule of thumb is "Have good content in your website and you never have to worry about google Algorithms"
As i heard , loading time of pages and number of backlinks from web 2.0 websites like social bookmarks , are new factors in new Google algorithm .
If you looking any major update in Algorithm check it out Google Webmaster Blog... Google update every changes whatever they make.
If you've been hit, look at the amount of (unique) content on each page and check for excessive linking.
The new algorithm seems to be targeting content farms, so as said by others, look for uniqueness of content, and excessive overloading of specific anchor text links. Get more diversity in the anchor text for your links.
