Google's N/A PR Rating

Does Google downgrade and lowly prioritize forum communities? I only ask because my forum has been around for over 8 months and it's never been assigned a PR value. It's in Google because I can find it but we don't seem to have any foothold in climbing the pages of Google. I assume forums are just that worthless to Google now. Am I right or is there something I should be looking into?

So...out of this massive webmaster forum...not a single one of you knows. Comical guys. Come on. We all know DP is going down hill and has been since about 2009 but this is just a whole new level of sad :(

Google still consider forum sites, Why? Because there are lots of threads coming from respected forum sites is still showing in the search results and Google is not interested to update its page ranking. So don't focus on it but concentrate in your targeted audience will be the best way for you.

As i said above, Digital point is a reputable site for webmasters and it has high pr rankings as well as lots of regular visitors. I think you have to learn more to be able to understand the roles of forum sites to the users.
