    PR has a lot to do with how many quality backlinks you have.. Very little, if any, to do with SEO.

    In order to improve your site's PR, you need to build lots of backlinks + wait for some time.

    Depending especially on the age of the site, sometimes PR can vary during Google's dance.
    Also some have found that modifications to the home page during the optimization process
    can have short term unpredictable results.
