google's medical terms classification

I've noticed that google is offering search filters for some medical conditions. For example if you do a search on "cancer" you can refine the results like this:
    • Treatment
    • Symptoms
    • Tests/diagnosis
    • Causes/risk factors
    • For patients
    • For health professionals
    • From medical authorities
    • Alternative medicine

So I searched for "cancer" than I applied the "treatment" filter and I get familydoctor.org as the #1 search result. After this I did a separate search on "cancer treatment" and the #1 site in the SERPs is www.cancercenter.com. So the order isn't the same. Any thoughts on the subject? How come Google ranks sites differently in this case?

Search refinement and classification should improve user experience and quality of sites returned.

I think that is how Google would like reply to your question, but nothing is ever sure with Google, spam sites and MFAs still invest the results with too much ease while normal sites make little impression in most cases.
