Google's Logo Today

    Hi,

    Have you seen the Google logo today... they are celebrating Robert Bunsen's 200th birthday...

    How did they create that graphic... it looks like flash but it is clearly not... from the source code i can see that it is a png but how do they have motion in the image, thanks in advance...

    It is most likely produced in a vector based illustration program such as Adobe Illustrator.

    ...and there is no motion.

    Style0, there is motion...what browser are you using? That is a good question though...I see the .png your referring to: http://www.google.com/logos/2011/bunsen11-hp-sprite.png, but that logo isn't what is actually displayed on the page so they're probably using some script to create the animation when your browser renders the page.

    Motion is working with firefox but, not in IE.

    Yes, this was done by Javascript. And Google uses their custom Javascript library where even you view the source of the page you can't see any easy to understand code.
