Google's Indexing Oddly

My blog is pretty new, and what I usually do to get indexed quickly is bookmark my site on popular sites like digg.

The weird thing is, Google is indexing some pages on my site, almost any page except the actual homepage. They've even indexed the wordpress login page until I had to fix that in robots.txt

Why won't they just index the farking homepage?!

 

Thats funny! No idea why your home page isn't indexed, but I can offer you an advice for quick indexing. Put the link in your sig at DP, I've seen my sites getting indexed within 3 days after putting the link here

 

It is, and has been in my signature. I don't know what the problem is. I've built links all pointing back to the homepage.

 

have you change the content of your homepage very consistently, is it under construction, or violate any policy. does it have too many like 500 links on main page? is it not relevant to rest of your website..


i don't know exactly but there are hundreds of factor that are effecting you .. you must check your main page carefully again

I just find it odd. I know I'm not missing anything.

 

It's happening sometimes. Main page get out from index for a few days, then back again.

 

I think you should wait for some time and then see again it might get indexed after few days

 

BTW did u have a sitemap for the site..?
If yes then u need to give high priority to the homepage...
for example take a look at my sitemap generated by wp google sitemap generator plugin http://blog.aditech.info/sitemap.xml

 

Yes I have a sitemap. Soon after submitting it to google webmaster tools last night, the homepage was finally crawled again and now indexed

 

Your homepage probably indexed before but yet not showing up. Nice it's finally there.
