I blame the revenue sharing. people are incented to post controversial messages to maximize views.

I think blog commenting is still one of the best way for site's promotion, if you use it befittingly. There is no scene shows that google would devalue the blog commenting. :) (except the spams on blog comments)

I couldn't agree with you more, but please be aware that although I have more than 50 posts and qualified to place my adsense ads here, I don't. So I have no intention of creating controversial threads to maximize any views, and you certainly can see I do not start many threads here.

All I want to do is to get an answer to my question. I have found that blog commenting works, even spamming works too. But I saw a thread on another forum the other day said that Google won't count the blog commenting as someone use this in the wrong way. So I wanna know how do you, the DP members think.

I hope this clarifies the question and your feedback on this thread is appreciated, thanks.:D

Yeah I agree, Aaron Wall also stated in his SEO book that Google is going to collect user behaviour data to decide the importance of a site. Because you could not cheat seach engines on these data, this also explains why Google thinks the age of a site is important, becaus it's real and you can not fool bots on this.

I would like to know if you've any source for such info ???

However, commenting on blog will simply provide your website with more links... if it's a (DO FOLLOW) links then it will definitely increase the website ranking ;)

i haven't seen or read anything saying that google is going to devalue blog comments, why should they when they gave bloggers etc the heads up about nofollow if they want. I have also read a bit about what ec23 mentioned and google is going to do more with behaviour data to help in the ranking
