Eight (8) months ago I used Google's automatic URL removal system to exclude a URL from Google's index. The URL appears to still be blocked. I have multiple links from my home page, site map, and other websites pointing to the URL but Google isn't biting. What can I do to get the URL back in Google's index?
I am under the impression that this feature is to notify Google of a URL. In my case, Google knows about the URL and is actively blocking it because of the request I made.
I am under the impression that reinclusion requests are for "Sites" that violated Google's quality guidelines. That is not my scenario. I was hoping this wouldn't be necessary.
I was hoping so but I haven't found anything about it yet. Do you have an email addy you could recommend?
In future you should just 301 redirect old pages to the new page (or the homepage) rather than getting them removed from the site.
No thanks. As far as we were concerned these URLs were history and we did not want them showing up in Google's index. I do appreciate the suggestion. Thank you. Thank you. I will give that a shot.
