Google's Algorithm Change Affected My Site

I've been affected badly by the recent google algorithm change.

I was ranking at #2,#3 but now my site ranking is way down to page #12 :-(

The site did have some copied contents.

As such I've updated the site with 100% unique content all over a day ago. Not to forget my site back links is better than the #1 ranking site.

Do you think my site will come back to normal ranking ? Any suggestions

What happens if you have a site that includes the latest news where you get a news feed from a renowed provider?

This is technically copied material. You get penalty for that?

Google does not give penalty for that. It just will not rank for anything

If you site took a hit - that means you need to increase your quality content, and increase your backlinks.

if there are no issues with your website at content level, get some backlinks from top domains in your industry
