I think that adwords is complicated enough for most to seek out professional help as it can be easy to do the basics but it can take a long time to master. As you explain above there are a lot of things like extensions that adwords is doing and not to mention how it is constantly switching the way the adwords page functions. Many normal people out there are not going to understand it completly when doing it at first. I think many buisness would benifit greatly from professional help.
