Matt Cutts one of Google top search engine specialist has said in his statements that Google officially acknowledges that wordpress has a positive impact on search engine visibility of a website on Google. Wordpress pages are easily indexed by Google and adding a wordpress blog onto a existing website is avery effective technique to improve the overall websites search engine ranking.
i don't have to know about this because i have tested it myself. upon installing wordpress blog, it takes few hours or 1 or 2 days to get indexed by google. it's that fast.
Yes I agree. I have seen many new post be indexed less than 1 hour after posting. Wordpress comes stock with a ping service that not only pings Google of new content but pings many other social websites as well. I also remember reading about this a month or so ago on a different site. I wish I had a link or proof but experience is all I need to understand that the original post is accurate.
Well for something that has been in development for so long and by so many people, there isn't really any surprise that it is so good in SEO. After all, thousands of experts have worked on WordPress over the years. Thus, it's going to be much better right off than most websites individuals try to create at an SEO standpoint.
It's generally indexed in google very fast in compare to other blogs, well though no one can define the time of indexing of pages.
If he said that it has to be on his blog can you give us the link ? He uses wordpress but thisa does not prove anything.
This is true. However it's not always possible to use WordPress as a CMS. WordPress is not the ultimate solution for just any case.
where did u read this? please tell me i want to learn more about it. i never have or use a blog before. maybe i'll try to add this on my site in the future.
As mentioned earlier, the trick is auto pinging. WP is very good at that, by just posting, your article appears ina lot of places which is good for visibility traffic. You can do it manually as well, tedious but it works.
Wordpress is great because everytime you make a post, it pings automatically some blog services. My Wordpress posts usually appear on Google index within 10-20 minutes after submitting them. It is an irony that when I had a Blogspot bog (which is powered by Google) my posts needed 7 to 10 days to appear on Google index and with Wordpress it takes only a few minutes...
After a while I swap all my blogs to wordpress. In the beginning was very difficult, but in the long term this strategy has give me some dividends.
http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2 (just add it at Wordpress ping services, although I think that pingomatic already pings Google too)
