    What I am trying to say is that SERPs are far more important.

    PR has almost no effect on websites rankings, PR gets no visits to your websites, but SERPs do.

    yes mate, I know that but there is a definite advantage in
    having some page rank against none at all. It`s a psychological
    advantage, your website visitors will "trust" you just that little
    bit more ... every little bit helps aye ... ;) ... and i`m not at all
    trying to build my PR, but I am trying to improve my SERP
    rankings and succeeding ... haven`t been doing this long so i`ve
    a lot to learn yet, I think i`m learning the right stuff though ... ;)

    hey, how much does your PR fluctuate during an update? Has your pagerank ever started fluctuating downward and then end up higher than before?

    My pagerank just went down but I just got a link from DMOZ a few days ago on one of my sites, just wondering if that is normal and if it can still remain the same or even go up?

    Is there any chance the dump ignorant mods could f off for 24hours, from combining threads from unrelated Sections, your worse then Google, threads, topics are started for a reason.

    I haven't seen it on any sites. I also can't seem to get any result from digpagerank.com, it's just staying on 'digging data...' :( But I've seen more blogs on this on various forums so I guess the update really is here, and everybody at DP and other forums really has killed DigPagerank, or maybe it's just me.

    I have had my website for well over 3 months, and same for my blog...

    It averages around 1000 Unique visits per day yet, when I try and check my page rank I always get N/A

    Could someone explain to me why, Or point in the right direction how to show the PR for http://dzrbenson.com/blog/

    Or could this be because the Page Rank update is not finished and it might change later?

    Obviously something happening.

    From myside one of my sites that was down during the last update (so it was showing zero) now is showing its PR5. I'd say only about 25% of my sites have shown any change (ie posts don't have PR so the update has not hit those sites).

    Noted one DP member who I consider a pro at building backlinks had his site drop from PR7 to PR6. Doubt it was a penalty maybe a rework on the algor so its harder to get those sevens (he has over 10,000 links for the site).

    One of my new month-old sites went from PR0 and it's currently sitting at PR6. Strange how the homepage has PR6, a couple of the main pages have PR0, but the majority of the main pages have PR N/A. Quite disappointing on that note. I think all the sites I really put any attention into went up in PR, PR0->PR6, PR0->PR3, PR3->PR4. At least Google haven't had to manually raise YouTube's PR this time:eek: My blog went from PR0 to PR2, although the content was on another one of my old sites, 301 redirected to the new site. The old blog, with no site on it, currently parked went from PR3 to PR4. What's that all about?!

    PR is basically a rank base off the number of important backlinks
    The PR it self doesnt DIRECTLY affect your serp, but the number of backlinks does.

    A site with a pr 1 and 50,000 backlinks is stronger then a site with pr 3 and only 5000 backlinks

    Just to point out, Pr is very inacurate, as it is not updated constantly.
