Despite what is being said in the previous posts, the Q1 update should be in the next week I Guesstimate.

After the bitch-slapping of Q4, Google should not even be predicted again. Remember it took almost 5 months for Google to release that last PR. Just cross your fingers and look, or get busy with your fingers on your keyboard and pretend to ignore Google for a while:D.

Pagerank is old news and outdated. It doesn't even really help in the SERPS any more. Why are you all still so obsessed with it. Give it up. Move on to something more worthwhile to spend your time obsessing over, like conversions or web 2.0 or something

    :)

I suppose that G changed the algorithm a far as one of the most important
modifying elements in the position in the ranking is a quality of visiting
the website, but exactly not the visit frequency but time when the user is
staying in it after browsing the definite word in G
I could see if X writes in G a word e.g. "broker" then after looking for
results comes into your website and stays there for a while everything is
Ok. But when after looking for results he comes into Your website and doesn`t stay there but he chooses Your competitor website where he stays then Your competitor`s website is assessed higher.

I think it`s good that this modification of algorithm happened.
In fact, websites are done for people not for robots of search engines.

that sound a bit far fetched for me. I know it makes sense but how would they know how long a person spends on any given site? If this was to happen there are still many improvements that have to be made I think, but you never know.

I don't really care about pagerank :) my main website has pagerank 4 :p it's enough for me because in my country, most visited sites rarely have pagerank 5 and only google.lt has 6 or more

No, it's not. People ask your PR for link exchange and link exchange (especially three way which looks like natural) are very good for SERPs. Some sites who ranked first for competitive keywords are practicing three way until now. About web 2.0, I think the traffic is not as good as traffic from Google. I mean if you monetize your website through affiliate links and adsense, Google traffic is much2 better than if you promote your site in web 2.0 sites.

Not true. Google will update their rankings based mostly on PR (backlinks, too, of course). They didn't do it last update, but I'm sure they will do it next time. Lost page rank will equal lower rankings.
