It seems that there is a huge number of PR 3 nowadays.... PR4 is slightly more difficult to reach that usual.

Completely agree with you. I think there is a huge gap of back links needed between PR3 and PR4

I'm a kind of newbie on this matter, but, how often is it updated?
Or it doesn't have an official time line?
    thanks!

There is no-way one can rely on any tool that predicts PR. I guess - you are using iwebtool's prediction tools-- so just forget it.

On the other-hand, internal PR is dynamic- almost changing with acquisition and update of new backlinks. So SERPs of a site also frequently changes accordingly.
One must remember that- the PR that is shown on the toolbar is static (from one update to the other). Hence it is not the actual reflection of the current PR/SERPs status of a site.

Also, SERPs of a site that is going to get higher PR during next update will have already reflected in search results well before the new PR is exported to toolbars.

I reckon- the answer to your question has been answered.
    Tnx:cool:

PR prediction tools are just for enjoyment :D Never trust on them. It makes you little happy before actual PR updates. Nothing much in that.

    DON.

I read in one blog that he got his PR back after removing the paid links and made a confession to Google. Anyone of you managed to get your link back?

I got bumped down from a 6 to a 5 on the homepage and all of the rest of my pages got bumped down a notch. I think it was because I had advertising from TLA (text-link-ads.com) Only thing that would explain it because I actually have quite a few more quality incoming links than when I was at 6. Contacted Google about this and waiting for a response.

I heard Google implemented some new guidelines to their PageRank system.

That's a quote from my SEO forums.

The new site I created went from PageRank 0 to PageRank 5 though (so I'm happy)
