Google's 2007 Q4 PageRank (PR) Update - 10/13/07

My site pr goes down. from 3 to 0

 

I did not even know there was PR update. All of my eight websites remained with the same PR. IWEDTOOLS predicted higher PR for most of my website and nothing has changed

i got site about 5 months from 0 pr to 6 amazing thanks google...

 

I noticed something very interesting this morning: Google WMT is indicating a different PR than the GoogleBar!

On my site, <Page-1> has been on PR 5 for many months, while <Page-2> has been on PR 4. WMT always showed <Page-1> as "Your page with the highest PageRank", eg.:

October <Page-1>
September <Page-1>

Now I see:

November <Page-2>
October <Page-1>
September <Page-1>

So <Page-2> has overtaken <Page-1> in WMT, but the PR of both pages as reported by GoogleBar today is still unchanged...

So it would appear that WMT is showing a change in the PR of these two pages, while GoogleBar is lagging behind! I have heard rumors about an "internal PR" which trickles down to GoogleBar, but this observation seems to confirm it!

So I am asking myself:
1) will <Page-2> go from PR 4 to 6 and <Page-1> stay at PR 5
2) will <Page-1> go from PR 5 to 3 and <Page-2> stay at PR 4

Hmmm ... Does anyone know how to estimate/access the "internal PR"?

My PR0 Site goes to PR1

 

I just notice my blog www.kojakfull.com from PR4 to PR0! and i am also seeing it on other websites that decreases PAGERANK!

Yea i dont understand the page rank system. I really don't look at it anymore. It makes no sense. I have site that gets like 100 uniques a day and its page rank 4 and then i have a site that get 10,000 unqiues a day and its page rank 3 with thousands of backlinks.

Now to me that does no make any sense.

 

But this really affects my blogging career.. i noticed this update mostly on blogs that accepting paid post..

are you selling paid reviews?

 

If you mention any blogging software, you are screwed. Your blog will be PageRank 0 in few days. You have a review for smorty, and this is why your PageRank went to zero.

DO not mention any "sponsor" related keywords, do not mention the name of any pay per post like company...

Your blog review gonna go to zero because of that.

 

A drop in PR from a number to 0 is not always a PR update. It might be a PR penalty.
Google is penalizing paid reviews now (it's considered paid links).

 

why would it go to zero because of those keywords?

 

Im still thankful that my site is still indexed at google and still rank from my keyword http://www.google.com/search?q=latest+news&hl=en&start=30&sa=N

 

Because it is the way they detect these blogs.
