Google's 2007 Q4 PageRank (PR) Update - 10/13/07

Google wants to tease webmasters IMO,
the result is many uninstalled Goolge toolbar

 

another false alarm, i predict nov 5 based on their previous update history with dates (90 day intervals) assuming they skipped the third quarter

 

This PR update isnt' finished yet, my PR0 sites remains PR0 even I have PR6 links and they are listed in link:domain.com ...

there has not been an update in 167 days. I thought they skipped an interval, so I thought the next one would be 13 days from now, considering they go in three month intervals.

like i said... it hasn't happened yet... people are seeing signs that it is about to happen, which is PR reverting to the previous update's value.

 

My PR hasn't changed at all even though I probably have about 2,000 more links than when they last updated. Based on the poll most people are experiencing this.

 

So they skipped a PR cyclus to adjust some secret stuff.
PR update Q4 is due in a couple of weeks then.
Been a long ride, guess the forum will go wild when the actual update happends.

problem is even if and when it does update it's not going to be like it was with selling links im sure. i think the blog post type of links will be much better as backlinks then paid links, much harder to determine if they are paid or not.
ive seen a pr 7 site drop to a zero and its been that way for over a month now. It didnt have a paid link but but mainly just one very strong link. their new algos seem much smarter than before, im seeing very different results in searching for phrases then i used to also. they have completely overhauled how a site gets to the top it seems.

 

there is no pr change in my site ! i feel lucky after seeing everyone downfall of pr but i dont think google has started the pr update as none of my site's pr has changes

 

I would like to say I don't care, but I really do. I'm frustrated that I a few of my sites get less respect from other sites for links and such because I have such a low PR, despite the fact they rank highly and would have a much bigger PR if it was updated. Everyone likes to say that PR is worthless, but its simply not the case.

I know PR update won't change my website overnight, but I am sick nd tired of seeing my web site PR sub 5 for more than 8 months.

 

I've added so many PR3-PR5 .EDU and .GOV backlinks yet im still PR N/A, meaning there wasn't an update or the update is not done yet..

 

most of time they don't even predict a pr.
that site and the 20 thousand websites that embedded their code are worthless.

if the update is going on and they're updating the sites that are loosing pr first...i can wait.

 

I really wonder what is up as well. They should do this regularly, if it is going to be counted for anything.
