    i wonder what percentage of these sites that are dropping PR are people who have either bought or sold links :)

    bet there's a correlation there.

    You see it happening, many people complaining that their sites have dropped PR, wouldn't that be considered a update? I would say so, if sites are seeing changes, it would be a update, whether your PR is rising or dropping, it is updating. Can anybody show me where Google states that all PR updates will be positive?

    Hmmm.. I'm not sure what to think. I have noticed in past updates, that my PR reverted back to the previous updates value. One of my sites is showing this now. Subpages that were PR 4, are now PR 0. That wouldn't really make sense if it were the results of an update. The reason they were O before was they were a new section of the site.

    Is everyone that is experiencing drops sure they aren't just seeing the previous update's value? How reliable is that tool? How is it sure it's getting "live PR"?

    I'd like to give an example of why I think this is the case. Consider the site otto-graf.com. It is nothing but a word cloud. It was an expired domain where the PR 6 still carried over from the previous owner's site ( I believe it was a musicians website). This tool and the Google toolbar show it is still a PR 6. Why would a crappy site like that retain its PR and decent sites have drops? It makes no sense.

    I know something is going on... the PR update is way late.. but I don't believe anyone has seen final results yet.

    Google is just going to gradually reduce everyone's pr to 0 then at that point do away with toolbar pr exports altogether. :D

    i think ur backlinks not updated or u have 1 month / 3 months backlinks.
    and also i think even lots od pr3 links will give u pr5, dont need to have pr7
