PR is rubbish now...People used to manipulate google search engine rankings by buying links...now google manually dropping PR to take revenge...

"eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" LOL

I'd like to know just what percentage of sites dropped in PR before saying it's going to increase in value. None of my sites dropped, and many of the sites I regularly visit didn't either. It was basically blogs about making money and most of those are participating in blogging networks to make more money. I know there are other sites that dropped, but it looks like most of those were/are selling links. I think just because this happened to some of the loudest sites in our circles, we think this is causing mass hysteria.

I'm guessing google is still doing the PR update.

None of my 300+ websites have changed PR.

I just noticed another of my fave websites has gone down to 2, it's all very shocking really. I'm always telling people to ignore page rank and not worry about it, I should take my own advice and not get all bothered about it like I was a couple of hours ago. I think I even gave myself a headache! :)

this probably the update 4 months exactly after the notices of the previous update
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=3868505#post3868505

and probably this are the final results... I dont think they will be any more changes, google want us to thank them from now on for just keeping us the same PR and not dropping it

None of my sites have experienced a PR drop. I have never sold links, or purchased links though.... so I will have to monitor them all to see if the changes are actually related.

Yah my directory got penalized to (http://www.smashingdir.com) - I have never purchased a link for it but still went down from 3 to 2 :( - They are just trying to hurt me because I'm beautiful, lol.

Maybe in like 5 or 6 years... they will stop the penalizing cycles and do one cycle that "adds" PR :) (but I doubt it, lol)

I still haven't seen any changes on my sites, I guess that's a good thing since everyone is showing PR going down :p

It is an interesting theory. It seems that some of the top websites are now 4 and 5 and so are the websites of stay-at-home moms and casual bloggers. So either advertisers will ignore PR or stay at home moms can compete with the Washington Post for ads.
