This is strange, just a few weeks ago my PR4 site dropped to PR3, today it dropped to PR2.
    What is going on?
Dropped twice within a few weeks :(

I have no clue what is happening, but it seems; more I work, less I get.

Well I would think if you bought any links for your site and someone reported those links as purchased, google is not going to count those links for you anymore?

Only the free ones will be counted :D

Did you sell links? Or, might be unknown reason for dropping?

Being there has been several PR updates in the last 10 days, dont write off the idea that Google may have some bug they keep trying to work out. This may very well not be the end, especially with so many high end authority sites taking big hits.

Math is not my area, but in-case they don't do "-1", or change algorithm
in some time PR will increase to PR6,7,8,9 for most pages on the web.

    Can anyone confirm this theory?

Well usually in my experience the pages that gain went to 0 first for a brief few and then went up but I have never seen a step down PR EVER!!

Of course every update has been a bit different so I am not surprised that this one is different as well but the TARGET seems to be a Stinky one on Googs part as these sites that they are taking down are legitimate advertising sources for people!!

If you have a look at these two web sites : alistapart.com and cssplay.co.uk ,
the first one is having the same PR because they never list any links , recommended list or such while cssplay went down to 5 from 8 because the web site is full of links -most of them are not relevant

The question is whether Google is checking those established web sites manually! They must be
