Google's 2007-Q3/Q4 PageRank (PR) Update

DAMN!!! When i saw you posted last in this thread i really had to rush to see cos you're the one who mostly inform everyone about the REAL PR Update!!! anyways !~~~

 

PR is of major importance. When my PR was 3, I made good money every month. Then I stupidly did not keep up getting links and Google dropped me to a PR 1. Needless to say, my revenue is almost nil. Hoping for a higher PR in this update.

 

I agree. Give me a PR0 for all I care, just send me the traffic!

Only a few select sites so far are affected, and not every page on a given site appears to be, but yes, some of them are established sites:

That is true. We are just waiting for the "export" to the public, which seems to come about every three months.

 

So, there hasn't been a PR update as of yet? (For July)

The PR-is-useless crowd continues to ignore the SEO benefits of PR to their own detriment. A mental block is a tenacious thing.

 

Of course it's just a number, who cares? Only that with PR7 you can easily collect 2-3k a month from sponsored links alone, and with PR0 you can only but envy those who do. Other than that, lets say in offline life, PR is indeed useless

Thats what PR has to do with SEO and Google.

 

And I think you missed the bit where she said "offline life".

Personally, I'm still under the illusion that I will get laid more often with a PR7... but that's just me.

And PR has to do with a lot more than just crawl rate.

Nope, I saw that too.. But once you read that quote I don't how anyone could say it is useless or only good for selling links and ad space. Let me add that it is more than just something to help sell ad space, it is a factor that determines frequency of the Googlebot Crawl.

 

All other things being equal, do you think your site would receive more traffic if it was PR7 or PR0?

 

It does much more then that.
