Google's 2007-Q3/Q4 PageRank (PR) Update

I've reported it myself . I should have searched for an existing thread and added it there, but I was shocked and happy at the time

Could be, but as I said, I'm able to see the changes on a range of my sites by using the link: operative at both google.com and google.ca.

5 minutes ago the PR of this page is not available, now it's 6.

Right, but when you hit Google.com it is probably different then when I do, although of course sometimes it will be the same.

You can ping www.google.com in a dos prompt, then copy that ip address, and type:

tracert xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

replacing xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with that ip address, and it will do a reverse lookup, telling you which datacenter you are looking at. Same with www.google.ca.

yang, it could be possible that ur toolbar didnt refresh PR when you checked it last time.

 

no sign for my site too. still the same status.

But the Last PR update was in the month of April and now its July (3 months).
May be google is updating the PR, but i am not sure.

You mean the URL I give above? No, I don't think so. I have been monitoring this page for 2 weeks or so and the webmaster of this site has talked to me several times so I know that this page is just created this month - July.

So the PR6 is just updated just now.

 

PR in your toolbar is not everything...they've updated our "real" PR everday

 

PR Update always comes as a surprise and slowly and gradually so lets just sit tight and wait for our sites to be updated.

I am sure i'll be well informed if theres a Valid Pagerank update because i've had Smartpagerank subscription that automatically sends me an email if theres an update on one of my sites Last time it was only 6 hours late but hey 6 hours is not that much

Np... I forgot to mention though, you can also hit CTRL-C after the trace route starts, canceling it as soon as it does the lookup part. No need to wait for it to trace the whole route to Google.
