    No actually I didn't know what you reffered to when you said "snapshot". Now when I know that, I have no idea why the data is so close to the current update. Whats make you think that anyway?

    I think it was the update before last Google started to show gray toolbar values if no PR had been assigned, and white for PR0...

    Look at these three pages, their PageRank, and the dates:

    http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/more-april-foolishness/ - Apr 2nd PR7
    This is the last date we saw PageRank last update, making us assume the snapshot was from that day (having to do with how fast Google indexes his pages, etc).

    http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/url-removal-yah/ - Apr 18th gray
    Definitely no PageRank assigned.

    http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/google-maps-for-walks/ - Apr 17th white
    Before this update started and froze, all pages after Apr 2 were gray (unassigned). Now, certain pages from the 3rd to the 17th are showing PageRank, but as far as I can tell, all pages from that time frame have at least switched from gray to white. This leads me to think that Apr 17 would be the snapshot, and that they already know the upcoming PR's, just haven't pushed them out.

    Btw, I think at least one of the pages that was showing increased PR just rolled back:

    Matt's April Fools posts got a sh*tload of links fast...
    Compare that to the fairly dry post from the 3rd which did not get PR (or discussion in this forum?) and I think it may fit my theory, that they went back to fix something. It would not suprise me to see some of those posts from early April begin to flash PR numbers...

    Especially since they apparently rolled back and forth yet again, I see the PR for the smaaz page at this time...

    So "all" pages that used to be gray in toolbar and added between 2nd-17th April have went from being gray to white?

    This could mean a lot of things. Like they are updating PR based on all indexed site known the 17th April and based on the BL from 2nd April. Which means all sites in this time frame have no links and thereby PR0. But this doesn't make any sense to me. Just a theory.

    If they are about to correct the last PR Update, why not make it closer to this day? Why do they need to focus on old data. That's so boring ;)

    It shows PR 1 on 2 DC's for me.

    But... it also doesn't make a ton of sense. Based on that alone, I would normally just say I must be wrong... except for the fact Google has transcended the Earthly need to Make Sense these days. :D
