Google's 2007-Q3/Q4 PageRank (PR) Update

Haha, same here I guess...

Just checked analytics and some of the traffic was from the search term "celesius"... And it's a scripting site... haha...

 

Ok, according to my stats... Live is sending me traffic for the following keywords (partial list - too many):

games
homes
business
links
training
travel
india
clothing
cruises
hotel
domain
paper
radio
vacation
insurance
ETC.

The bottom line is this. My directory is ranked for every generic word in the english language on Live. Now how can you pass up getting your express reviewed link!

 

I have submitted my sites to live, but im not recieving any traffic from it. Does any one know what the possible reason for this could be?

 

It's Microsoft. Don't expect them to be instantaneous in indexing your site.

Oddly enough I've started getting search traffic from Live.com just today, and this is the first time I remember getting such referrals. Before it was always MSN.

 

For some reason for the past two days I started to receive much more yahoo traffic. Before these last days I had 1 from Yahoo for every 10 from Google, but in the last couple of days I started to have 3 from yahoo for every 2 of google. strange.

 

Thought this thread was for the PageRank update? Everybody seems to be discussing other subjects??

Persoanlly, I would like to see one of the other engines come out with a different type of rating system, and if I was a betting man, I would say that MSN will have something shortly!!

MSN will take over everything soon anyways!! They said it and I believe them!!

 

I happen to disagree with you, MSN is way far far behind even farer then where Yahoo is, very little/less number of people do search on msn/live.com. Every kid on the street's know what Google is, it has become like a standard.

 

It will be very interesting to see who's on top when all the dust settles. It seems like now is the time for change, I'm ready!

 

I second that. Although many of my sites rank first for many keywords in msn, the number of hits from msn is pathetic.

 

Yeah MSN are years behind google in their search algorithyms. You can get number 1 easily in MSN by creating a domain with your keywords in and stuffing the title and page content with your keywords and other spammy techniques.

Google on the other hand takes in to account domain age, good backlinks and good content. Its hard to spam your way to the top in google.

 

You must be years behind in news if you think MSN is that weak. Have you saw the new Live Search?

 

Thats the point, not many have seen it and chances are that there wont be many.

 

recently I got quite some real hits (statcounter) from live.com...Though I don't like MS, I hope there are some opponents to Google.

 

I did too, then mvandemar and snowbird pointed out that some of those hits may be fake... Check your logs to see the keywords your visitors are accessing your site from...

 

Because of no PR update I work less and less on my websites this days
anybody else in the same boat?

ha ha..i work on mine constant regardless of what GG does as well as the PR of sites..I want traffic and ppl interested in the product on my site

 

I wouldn't let the PR affect your work. There are plenty of other ways to promote and make money from your sites other than worrying about PR.
