Both site's of mine where they have reduced PR, are not selling links, I understand the human edited PR (Mostly Indians) make lot of mistakes.
Google probably need to hire some one who is better understanding what is link sales and what is a link exchange.

Perhaps a mod could be installed to allow users to agree with a post and then only 1 person is allowed to make the comment "No update". Then the post with "No Update" may have 23 agrees stuck to it. ;)

I have found three sites that have been penalized because of paid links and/or paid reviews:

Is There A PageRank Penalty In Your Future?

This follows on the heels of SERPs being reduced for many sites (particularly paid link directories) during the waning weeks of summer.

My thinking is that an export of PageRank to the Google toolbar will take place once every site that will be penalized has taken a hit. This may take some time as I understand that the review process is being done by humans, not computers to ensure accuracy and compliance.

I had last week a site from from PR5 to PR4 but Google Search traffic has increased 20%.

I would gladly drop another 4 PR for 80% more search traffic. :p

So let me get this straight, you annoyed so much by people posting "no update yet" that you'll make a post about it, but then you make a post like this:

And you don't think that's clogging the thread?

I'm not sure what a "google bulletin" is, do you have a link? I'd definitely be interested in reading that :) thanks

I agree. Please send over the URL of this bulletin so that we may review it.

Last I read, which was in Matt Cutt's blog, is that he did not expect a pr update for a few more weeks. And that was October 1st when he posted it in his blog.

I had one site that dropped from pr5 to pr4. bit dissapointed by that. The rest haven't moved and I expect them to move up. We'll see though. When Google's done bullying us all, the dust should settle on a new link economy.

My profile page here at DP is now showing a PR2 and I know for a fact it was showing "No PageRank info available" a few days ago.

Why do you have to tell fibbs for? I just don't get how some people get off on this stuff. No page rank update for any of my sites."

Joey122, when PR has changed for 147 (15.4%) of my 953 sites, I would think this is pretty significant finding to report. It is people with only a few site who report no update who are providing useless information.

Thanks for the link. And yes, Danny Sullivan has a magic phone line straight to Matt Cutts.

If Danny says there were PR changes last week, there were. I doubted the posts here, many times a webmaster simply does not realize changes occurred much earlier than they thought. I figured many of these posts were only just realizing that they had a change in what seemed to be a canonical update in July.

Obviously what happened last week was different...
