    Seven thousand useless posts. Unbelievable!
Can you imagine if we put this effort into something productive? Like our websites, as oppose to waiting for Google PR which is going to come out, when it is going to come out.

    Happy Posting to All!

Maybe they'll do it randomly. We'll see changes on the sites time to time, it will not happen as it was before? Maybe there will be no more alltogether pr update?

In any case Google has to do something about it because lately selling links become a really valuable market.

I noticed Statcounter went down from a 9 to an 8 and this after their first drop from 10 to 9 last update. It's not going well for them really is it.

I know that it may not be practically possible to reach that limit. That's why I used the words "in theory". But hitting the limit of floating point accuracy, as you said, is actually the very point at which the PageRank effectively become zero. Nevertheless, I believe other limits will be met first. ;)

Also, regarding your second paragraph, had you quoted my whole post, you would have noticed that I also said:

So yeah, they can just effectively multiply the floating point figure as the number of pages grows, and I'm quite sure something like it is in the algorithm. I've said the same since my first message on this issue. I only made a rebuttal to frisk's claims that the PageRank couldn't be like it has been described. :)

Well, I'm no mathematician either (not yet at least), but I see it this way. If there are a thousand pages, the average raw PageRank value will be 0.001. If there are a million, it will be 0.000001. As you increase the number of pages, the average value decreases. I see that as "approaching zero".
