Google's 2007-Q3/Q4 PageRank (PR) Update

Yes, google is dancing but not steady. Last week one of my keyword ranks in 5 then going down to 7 then back to 5. The worst is some of my keywords continue burried to 100+.

 

It's not just easy as what they think. I'm sure they will undergo first more problems before they can create an algo for that.

 

That little variation is not so called "Google Dance", probably you got results from different DataCenters.

 

This is an occurrence that may be seen daily, if you are tracking more than a few keywords. Nothing at all unusual about it.

 

For those of you who are complaining about all these PR threads appearing... Stop clicking them. Nobody is forcing you to read them.

 

You're lying again... please stop. It is rude as all hell.

No, everybody isn't spamming this thread. He literally has created a tool that allows him to display fakes changes in PR, to get people to use his site. It's pitiful.

Exactly.. I'm in the same boat, and advertisers don't seem to care about traffic stats, it's all about the all-mighty pagerank. Talk about frustrating!

 

I'm doing some advertising to promote 1 Cool File and I looked at the traffic but often it's only the PR that is shown by the company. I'm even doing a $500 contest(end this Sunday) and the traffic from high PR is not there because I don't have that many entries. After the contest, I will be doing a post about it.

All my blogs are all PR0 or PR1(pre April update). The main one is still 0 even after 6 weeks of 301 redirect. I taught I would get my PR3 back.

At least I have traffic from search engine for my blog even if it's 0.

But I'm also tired of waiting because PR means more advertising money for 1 Cool File.

It it is called FSB (fresh site bonus) given to new and old websites.
Yes, G will give FSB to an older site as well, for new content ( on new subpage etc.)
If the new content gets good traffic it will stay, if not.. c'est la vie

I don't even care about PR anymore... I just want Google to give me back my backlinks and put my pages back in the index!

What was the old PageRank of Yahoo? I seem to remember it being PageRank 9, but it shows as 10 now. Was it already 10 before, or is this a new value?

 

PageRank appears to be kicking in. On DigPageRank, my flagship site is showing PR4 or OFF across Google's datacenters. If an export to the toolbar is happening, I expect we'll see the Google toolbar update come Monday.

 

Googles backlink is really lousy. My friends and I are linked to certain sites. he has backlinks shown up for his sites and none for mind. This is really getting crazy to depend on Googles backlinks.
