I am waiting for the update. After checking in directory.google.com, my site PR is increased. Then I expect to have more PR in google.com also.

How is that ironic? PR does not mean high traffic. I can show you a PR6 website that gets around 20 daily uniques. :D

Average price of DROPPED domains at snapnames this week is over $3000.00 .I think more people are starting to believe no more pagerank updates so they are resorting to the dropped ones.I am biddingon one now that is $3300.00 with two days left to go.

Please people, quit with these threads. There's a pinned thread at the top of this forum that has reached about 6 billion posts that talks about the PR update.

It doesn't matter all that much anyway...

This Page Rank Update/Export List History contains the dates that Google Toolbar Pagerank (PR) was exported. As of September 23rd, there has not been a Toolbar PR export for 146 day(s). The longest time between toolbar PR exports recorded in the below Page Rank Export List was 122 days (Oct 19/2005 to Feb 18/2006).

I guess this is google's tactic. (They say they are not evil ha :)) They give people enough time to discuss and wait them to be in a state they like. And then they will say, "hey we are not telling PR to the public" or may be they will never say and they will lose least possible reputation.

You have to set #Fe01Fc as background color site, you want to upgrade.

Yes, the last was in July. While there were some minor differences from d/c to d/c, they eventually showed all the same data.

Some do show a different total number via backlink tools, but when looking around a bit, you can see that they are the same backlinks, only a few lost or gained.

    Example:
    http://66.102.11.100/search?q=link:http://www.google.com/webhp&hl=en&start=450&sa=N&filter=0
    http://66.249.81.19/search?q=link:http://www.google.com/webhp&hl=en&start=450&sa=N&filter=0
You might have to check the last page on this one for differences:
    http://72.14.215.44/search?q=link:http://www.google.com/webhp&hl=en&start=460&sa=N&filter=0

I have a site that shows 27 on page one, was showing 25 total, but now shows 22 on the last page. I lost 3 that were basically worthless anyway, but if it were a full backlink update, the number should increase for the site. The backlinks are the same, just 3 missing.

Of course, Google does not show all via the link: command.

I think this goes back to the canonical update - what I think happened in July. Some of the pages giving backlinks are being lost or gained as Google makes changes in the handling of some urls.

I'm very curious about your statement. Last thursday, a webmaster told me that her website reported a PR4, and she was PR0 before. Nevertheless, I haven't seen a PR increase (or decrease) in one of my websites which is still PR0.

    I think it did, I got a small fall in PR (5 > 4).
